We arrive early at Hudson’s Daycare. Des is so excited; she uploaded all her media to my ssd external hard drive so she would have enough room for all the pictures she will be taking. Did I mention that I love this woman?

There are rows of chairs set up in front of a makeshift stage outside in the playground. I look around seeing more parents arriving, mom must be running late.

I see Millie arrive with her mother, she spots us straight away and makes her way over. I feel Des tense beside me and throw an arm around her shoulders, pulling her into my chest.

“Mace, I’m so glad you made it. Hudson is so excited to have his mommy and daddy here together.”

I hear Tiff sigh heavily and walk off.

“Millie, we aren’t here together. I’m here with Des and my mom when she gets here. You’re here with your mom.” I nod to her mother who is standing talking to some other parents.

“Oh, you know what I mean.” She giggles, waving her hand, almost touching my chest.

“No Millie, I don’t think we do.” Des says, finally speaking.

Millie rolls her eyes looking at my pissed off girlfriend.

“Calm down Des, we have a son together, you’re gonna have to get used to me being in your lives.” She says, grinning up at me with the smile that used to make my heart race.

Now I just feel awkward and sick thinking about her touching me.

“I am. You need to get used to the idea of not havin’ Mace the way you want him. He’s mine, I ain’t goin’ nowhere.” She steps forward menacingly. I wrap an arm around her waist, pulling her back.

Millie blushes, looking her up and down before turning and walking away.

“Holy shit, that was sexy.” I whisper close to her ear, making her giggle and turn her head looking up at me; she slips her hand behind my neck and pulls me into a quick kiss, making my head spin and my dick hard.

“None of that here, you two.” My mom chastises, finally arriving.

“He’s just too cute.” Des tells her, grinning.

“Can’t say I’ve noticed,” mom jokes, grinning up at me making me scowl.

“Come on, we better find our seats.” Unfortunately, we are seated next to Millie and Tiffany. My mom, the peacemaker, sits next to Millie, so she isn’t beside me or Des.

An older woman comes onto the makeshift stage with a mic and taps it making that awful sound, she chuckles wincing.

“Sorry about that,” she blushes as everyone laughs.

“Right, good afternoon, everyone, welcome to our Christmas show. The children have worked so hard and practised a lot to make today perfect for you all. I don’t want to keep them waiting too long since they’re a little nervous, so let’s get the show on the road, shall we? I hope you enjoy what we put together.” She nods to another woman who brings the kids on stage.

Des’ phone is out already recording as everyone cheers, Des and mom being the loudest when we spot Hudson.
